PDF Merge is a free online tool that lets you combine multiple PDF files into a single document in seconds.

Unlike many online PDF tools, this tool processes everything directly in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server, which means your documents stay completely private and secure.

Whether you need to combine scanned pages, reports, invoices, contracts, or any other PDF documents, PDF Merge handles it all without requiring any software installation or account registration.

The tool works entirely offline once the page is loaded — making it safe to use even with sensitive or confidential documents.

1. Click the upload area or drag and drop your PDF files onto it.

2. Add as many PDF files as you need — there is no limit on the number of files.

3. Drag the handle on the left of each file to reorder them. The final PDF will follow this order.

4. Remove any unwanted files by clicking the × button next to them.

5. Click the Merge PDFs button to combine all files into one.

6. Once merging is complete, the result file name and size will appear below the button.

7. Click the Download button to save the merged PDF to your device.

8. If you change the file order or add new files, simply click Merge PDFs again — the result will update automatically.

PDF Merge is completely free to use with no hidden fees, subscriptions, or paywalls.

You do not need to create an account or provide an email address. Just open the page and start merging.

There are no watermarks added to your merged PDF. The output file is clean and identical in quality to the original files.

There are no restrictions on file size or the number of files you can merge in a single session.

Privacy is a core feature of this tool. All PDF processing happens locally inside your web browser using the pdf-lib library.

Your files are never sent to any server, never stored in the cloud, and never shared with third parties.

This makes PDF Merge safe to use with confidential documents such as legal contracts, medical records, financial statements, and personal identification documents.

Once you close the browser tab, all file data is immediately cleared from memory.

PDF Merge lets you control the exact order of your documents before merging.

After uploading your files, simply drag any file up or down using the handle icon on the left side of each row.

The merged PDF will follow the order shown in the list — the first file in the list becomes the first section of the merged document.

This is especially useful when combining chapters, reports, or multi-part documents where page order matters.

Combining scanned documents: Scanners often produce one PDF per page. PDF Merge lets you combine all pages into a single file.

Merging reports and presentations: Combine multiple reports, slide decks, or data exports into one unified document for sharing.

Assembling contracts and agreements: Attach appendices, exhibits, or signature pages to a main contract document.

Consolidating invoices and receipts: Group multiple invoices into a single PDF for accounting or expense reporting.

Creating portfolios: Combine work samples, certificates, or project documents into a single portfolio PDF.

Archiving emails and records: Merge exported email PDFs or records into a single archive file.

Is there a file size limit? No. Since processing happens in your browser, there is no server-side file size restriction. Very large files may take longer depending on your device's memory.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs? Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged directly. You will need to remove the password protection first.

Does the tool preserve bookmarks and hyperlinks? The tool preserves the page content of each PDF. Complex features like interactive form fields or embedded JavaScript may not be fully preserved.

What browsers are supported? PDF Merge works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Can I use this on mobile? Yes. The tool works on mobile browsers, though drag-and-drop reordering is best experienced on desktop.
