PDF Split is a free online tool that lets you remove or delete specific pages from a PDF and download the result as a new PDF file. There is no account required, no sign-up, and no watermark added to your file.

All processing happens entirely in your browser using PDF.js and pdf-lib. Your file is never uploaded to any server — making it safe for confidential documents such as contracts, medical records, and financial statements.

You can delete individual pages by clicking the × button on each thumbnail, remove all odd or even pages with one click, or specify a start and end page to delete a range at once.

The exported PDF preserves the original content — text remains selectable, vector graphics stay sharp, and embedded fonts are fully retained. Unlike image-based tools, pages are never re-rendered as JPEG, so there is zero quality loss.

1. Click the upload area or drag and drop your PDF file onto it. No account or sign-up needed.

2. All pages are rendered as thumbnails automatically. Scroll through to review your document.

3. Hover over any thumbnail and click the × button in the top-right corner to delete that page.

4. Use 'Delete Odd Pages' or 'Delete Even Pages' to remove alternating pages in one click — useful for cleaning up double-sided scans.

5. Enter a start and end page number and click 'Delete Range' to remove a block of pages at once.

6. Click 'Export PDF' when satisfied. The exported file appears in the download list below with its file size.

7. Each export creates a new download entry — you can export multiple versions and compare them.

8. Download links are temporary browser URLs. Save your file before closing or refreshing the page.

PDF Split uses pdf-lib to copy pages directly from the original PDF into a new document. Pages are never converted to images or re-compressed.

This means text remains fully selectable and searchable, vector graphics stay crisp at any zoom level, and embedded fonts are preserved exactly as in the original.

This is the key difference from image-based PDF tools: there are no JPEG artifacts, no blurry text, and no file size inflation from unnecessary re-encoding.

This approach is ideal for text-heavy documents, legal contracts, financial reports, academic papers, and any PDF where content fidelity matters.

All PDF rendering and page manipulation happens entirely inside your web browser using PDF.js and pdf-lib. No file data is ever transmitted to any server.

This makes the tool safe for sensitive documents: legal contracts, medical records, financial statements, HR files, and personal documents.

No account, no sign-up, no email, no watermark. Open the page and start removing pages immediately — completely free.

Download links are temporary browser object URLs. They exist only in your current tab and are automatically released when you close or refresh the page.

Is PDF Split free? Yes, completely free. No account, no sign-up, no watermark, no file size limit imposed by the server.

Can I undo a page deletion? Not directly — but you can click 'Upload New' to reload your original file and start over at any time.

Is there a page or file size limit? There is no server-side limit. Very large PDFs (100+ pages or 100+ MB) may take longer to render depending on your device's memory and CPU.

Can I split a password-protected PDF? No. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened by the browser. Remove the password protection first using your PDF reader.

Does the exported PDF keep hyperlinks and annotations? Internal links and annotations within kept pages are retained by pdf-lib. Bookmarks (outline) are not preserved.

What happens to my files when I close the tab? All data is cleared immediately. Nothing is stored in the browser, in cookies, or on any server.

Does it work on mobile? Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works on iOS Safari, Android Chrome, and other modern mobile browsers.
